WELFARE AID IN MALAYSIA

The disbursement of welfare aid to recipients nationwide will be made on the first of every month beginning January, said Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil. She said payment of the aid on the first of every month had been implemented in Peninsular Malaysia since September, much earlier than the target date. “As such, one of the achievements set for the National Key Result Areas (NKRA) of the ministry in terms of raising the living standard of the low-income group can be realised,” she said in a statement.
