Keeping an eye of the forthcoming assembly election in the state, the West Bengal government has decided to invest Rs 35 crore in south Dinajpur district of the state for the development of minorities. The government has also instructed the district administration and block development officers to utilise the money within one year and a half. The said money will be spent on providing drinking water, sanitation and establishing Aangan Badi centres. The government is planning to run some new schools, health centres and a girls hostel in the area.
