The 12 years misrule by the BJP has come to a flashpoint. All round failures on almost all fronts – economic, social, political and foreign relations – have frustrated and disappointed the whole population except the andhbhakts, who are intoxicated with the false promises, fake narratives, boastful visions of becoming the Vishwa Guru and the third or fourth largest economy. Our progress and economic independence have been mortgaged to the US which is being controlled by a maverick and unreliable person.
The extremely frustrated youth population has risen in a revolutionary and unexpected way. The protest by youth under the banner of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar on 20th July and countrywide protests on 10th October have shown the frustration and dissatisfaction of the whole population in the length and breadth of India.
If any iota of wisdom is left in the ruling party, it could have allowed the people, especially the youth to demonstrate their frustration and anguish through their protests. But foolishly they resorted to crackdowns, lockdowns, cancellation of hundreds of trains to Delhi from various destinations, causing untold inconvenience to lakhs of people in the whole country. The closure of metro services and trains also enhanced the troubles of the travellers throughout the country. Besides, the Delhi police acted not as a disciplined force but as an instrument of insensitive and reckless state machinery. They misbehaved with young girls and perpetrated atrocities on the young protesters.
All these acts of omissions and commissions along with atrocities and use of goons and gunda elements have enraged the whole youth populations of India. What was the need of detaining large numbers of protest leaders and demonstrators? It shows utter failure on the part of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi police. The waywardness of police was evident from detaining of three CJP leaders, Dipke, Das and Ranka, from inside the aircraft immediately after its touchdown at Delhi airport. It is perhaps the first incident of this type. It is reported that throughout India more than 7000 persons, including prominent leaders of different political parties, social and community leaders including four former Chief Ministers were detained. The Advocate community is sore over the lukewarm attitude of the judiciary over the events which spread the impression that perhaps our judiciary is under pressure and compromised.
Political analysts are inclined to guess that the frustration and rage of the people across the country will come out openly in the forthcoming assembly elections and people would teach a lesson to the ruling BJP. If they do not make amends, people are determined to smash their ego and arrogance. Now the battle is not confined to the demand of resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. It is for change in regime, end of the governments based on vote manipulation and disenfranchisement of more than 13 crore genuine Indian voters. The future of democracy, security and integrity of India is dependent on the success of the campaign for restoration of free and fair elections.
