The present scenario is such that there is a constant struggle to make religion obsolete. In speeches, articles, etc., it is being propagated that religion is something of the past. The article ‘Religion a Boon for Society’ (Radiance, Issue No. 39) uncovers the fears of the west, who are hell-bent on wrongly disseminating that Shari’ah has a dark side. The writer rightly says that those who criticise the shari’ah should read it with open mind to understand the divine wisdom that Allah has given in the Islamic Shari’ah. It is absolutely ludicrous that the likes of Blair and Thomas are using their tirade without learning what Islam has to offer.
