This is apropos of the article “Act Today for a Healthy Tomorrow” (Radiance, 28 July- 3 August). This is a collective responsibility to be concerned about the menace which is now spreading very fast even among teen-agers. Initially, a child starts smoking out of fashion or to imitate his elders and after some days it becomes impossible for him to get rid of it. It is the moral duty of the members of the society to keep vigil on children seen smoking and try stopping them. Also the elders should not smoke at public places and in the presence of children. Will power is more important than any law in this regard.
