In a very exemplary move, some youths from the Muslim community gathered at Maha Kumbh in Allahabad on 12 February only to distribute booklets on Islam to the saints and others devotees who came to take a holy dip in the river of Ganga. The booklets discussed the basic teachings of Islam and its guidance in different walks of life. The youths also hung banners with quotations from the traditions of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be to him). They also installed a canopy at the main entrance near Katjo Road to provide assistance for the old and needy persons and distributed refreshments as well.
