Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital, which has been running successfully since its inception, opened ICU and Dental Clinic as two new departments on Mar 26.

Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital, which has been running successfully since its inception, opened ICU and Dental Clinic as two new departments on Mar 26. The ICU was inaugurated by Mr. K. Rehman Khan, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, whereas the dental clinic by Mr. Adeeb, Member of Rajya Sabha.

The inauguration programme kicked off with introduction of ‘Vision 2016,’ a programme undertaken by Human Welfare Foundation for the uplift of the poor and downtrodden people in the various fields such as health, education, women empowerment, etc. The introduction to the programme was given by Mr. K.A. Siddique Hasan, General Secretary of HWF. He said the idea behind the hospital is that no poor should return without treatment, just because of the unavailability of money. He further mentioned that since its start, as far as 10,000 persons have undergone treatment in the hospital and no one has gone through unnecessary medication, tests and treatment.

Expressing extreme happiness and satisfaction over the facilities the hospital is providing, Mr. K. Rehman said, “By seeing such work, it can be said that if Millat awakes and works with dedication then we can come to the forefront in every field.” He further emphasised the need to have a vision as he said it is only a vision first which gets materialised into reality. He extended his helping hand and said that he is ready to serve the hospital in whatever way he can.

Mr. Adeeb also expressed pleasure over the hospital and prayed for its success. He went ahead and said the hospital is something purely religious as it is our religious duty to help one another and those in need. He also extended support for the hospital and assured that he is ready to help the hospital with his entire wherewithal.

Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, who was presiding over the programme, infused religious fervour in the audience and reiterated that it is our religious duty to help one another and those in need. He further mentioned various ahadith and verses of the Qur’ān and pressed for the need of humanitarian attitude. He said this hospital must be used to introduce Islam and to show that Muslims are only the well-wishers of the whole human race.

The programme started with the recitation of a few verses of the Qur’ān by Mr. Mohd. Arif. Er. Muhammad Salm was the compere and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Farooq.
