The Aligarh Muslim University Teachers’ Association on January 7 passed a unanimous resolution condemning the Israeli strikes on Gaza. “Palestinians have every right of independence and respectable life, which Israel with the help of its Western supporters is ruthlessly denying to them. The AMU teaching community shares the shock and surprise on the considered silence and inaction of the powerful nations of the world on Israeli savagery and crime of killing so many civilians,” noted Qazi Ehsan Ali, honorary secretary of the Association.

The AMU faculty has demanded that the United Nations take immediate action against these attacks on Palestine and a ceasefire be enforced without any delay.
