Anand Kumar, founder and director of Super 30 who has helped students from weaker and marginalized sections to make a beeline at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), said that tremendous thrust, positive thinking, continuous hard-work and great patience are keys to success and along with quality education it is also necessary to impart a sense of unity and togetherness within for a better and prosperous India. He was addressing a motivational programme organised jointly by Jamia Millia Islamia and Human Chain (an NGO) at M.A. Ansari Auditorium in the national capital on 11 December.
Kumar, with his indigenous oratory skills, mesmerised the audience. With the help of presentation, he narrated his journey and success story along with pains and sufferings through which the students, their parents and he had experienced before the fruit of success. Through visual medium, Kumar explained the story of some students who were selected in IIT despite all odds. Every story was a lesson in itself and more than enough to set an example for all those who wanted to achieve something in their life by overcoming all hurdles in their way.
Dr. Anand Kumar, while talking to Radiance, said that persistent hard work will only pave the way for success and through hard work one can overcome even bad luck if any. At times, success may not come immediately but even then one must not lose heart and continue to work hard. Ultimately success will follow all those who will put great efforts with great patience.
After the motivational programme, Affan Mukarram, a student of Jamia Senior Secondary School, while speaking to Radiance, shared what he learned from the programme. Mukarram said one must remain focused throughout without getting distracted in midway and the level and the potential must remain constant.
“It must be firm in the mind that I will do what I want to, and for that positive thinking is a must. No matter how weak one is but even if he decides to work hard from now then he will surely get success. One must have patience even if he could not qualify AIIMS; he must not lose hope but should continue to do hard work till he becomes successful.”
Prof. Talat Ahamd, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, urged the students to translate the motivational mantra of Anand Kumar in their life. He also agreed to the request made by Human Chain President Mohammad Aslam Alig to organise a job fair in the campus in order to help more students get placed from the campus with close coordination from other AMU alumni.
