The opening ceremony of Anugraha Women’s PU College at Kalladka held on June 5, was well-attended by Ramanath Rai, MLA Bantwal; U.T. Khader, MLA Mangalore South; Padmanabha Kottari, President BJP Dakshina Kannada; Prakash Shetty, Member Zilla Parishad and many other personalities  from Bantwal taluk area.

The function was presided over by K.M. Sharief, Chairman Shanthi Educational Trust, Mangalore. P.B. Ibrahim, Builders & Contractors, Bhatkal inaugurated the new PU College building. Maulana Yahya Thangal Madani, Khateeb, Hawwa Juma Masjid, Bolangadi prayed for the goodness and success of the institution.

The function commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’ān by Zakir. Amanullah Khan, Trustee, in his introductory address, briefed the gathering about the formation of Anugraha Educational Trust and the upcoming institution.

A group of responsible individuals from Bantwal taluk area have formed Anugraha Educational Trust, Kalladka to provide value based education, by learning and practice for the success and development of society. The institution is committed to bring out responsible citizens with the realisation to perform what they learn. The institution will provide its own transport facility and cater students from all adjacent localities viz. Kalladka, Panemangalore, Bantwal, BC Road, Farangipete, Manchi, Salettoor, Vitla, Kabaka, Mani etc.

Besides full-fledged education to girls and women, its objective is to serve rural areas where poor families cannot afford higher education. The trustees and associates have surveyed rural areas of Bantwal taluk to emphasise importance of education among residents and enrolled even drop-out students.

Shri Ramanath Rai, U.T. Khader, Pdmanabha Kottari,  Prakash Shetty, Dr. Abdul Majeed, Mrs. Shahnaz M, Editor, Anupama Monthly spoke about  the importance of such Women’s Institutions in Bantwal taluk and wished success. Ms. Anupama SR Principal assured the gathering of her team’s commitment.

Trust chairman Yaseen Baig welcomed the guests while Secretary DK Ibrahim extended vote of thanks. Mukhtar Ahmed conducted the proceedings.
