Case should be Filed against UK and US for Iraq war

Reacting on the Chilcot Commission Report, Dr. Javed Jamil, a renowned author and analyst, said that the United Kingdom and the United States must be condemned for killing 35 lakh people in Iraq war all over the world and a case should be filed against them in the UNO (United Nations Organisation) Court of Justice for killing such a huge number of innocent people. He was addressing a public meet on the ‘Present Situation of Middle East’ at the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in New Delhi on 6 August.
He criticised Muslim countries and Muslim organisations for not registering protest against the UK and the USA over Iraq war for false reasons that was made clear by the Chilcot Commission Report. The USA and the UK had waged a war against Iraq president Saddam Hussein on the accusation of having mass destruction weapons but the inquiry report concluded that he had not any mass destruction weapon.
Speaking on the situation prevailing in Turkey, Dr. Jamil said that the USA is involved in Turkey’s failed coup. The sign of US involvement reflects when US military chief asked Turkey government to restrain crackdown against coup plotters. He said that it is the policy of the west that they overthrew those who are not loyal to them. This happened in Egypt, Libya and Syria. He criticised weak response of Muslims on this, too. He said that if there is no legitimate and peaceful protest by Muslims against the western aggression, some people come with illegitimate and violent protests.
Condemning the killing of innocent people, Dr. Jamil said that when innocent people are killed by terrorist groups with Muslim names, it receives a lot of condemnation but when innocent people are killed by West’s military, it receives no condemnation. He said that one must condemn the killing by IS (Islamic State) or Taliban hundred times but they should also condemn the killing of innocent people by the west. He also believes that IS is the creation by the West and wondered who provides weapons for the Islamic State.
Elaborating the targeting of Islam and Muslim by the West, he said that after the breaking of Russia, the world has become unipolar towards the western power. The western power saw that Islam and Muslims may come in its way of imperialism. So, they started targeting Muslim countries and attacking those who are not loyal to them since there was a revivalism of Islam that feared western power.
