A Dawah Website in the Hindi language, www.islamdharma.org, running for the last one year has further been modernised and improved. The website introduces Islam in a comprehensive, all-encompassing manner. This consists of 19 heads and some hundred sub-heads, comprising various ideological and practical aspects of man’s individual, societal, ethical and collective life.
Introducing Islam has gained much import, especially in today’s prevailing scenario of widespread and fast increasing misconceptions, misgivings and misunderstandings about Islam.
The website has gained popularity in one year of its functioning attracting more than 1.75 lakh hits during the period. This was despite the fact that it was neither dynamic nor interactive. These limitations were known to the promoters at the time of launching the site as it was related to availability of resources at that time including human resources, monetary position and time available. Hence, they decided to work on a modern website and replace the old one with the improved and modernised version. The task was assigned to Engineer Zainul Abedin Mansoorie, engaging the services of Mansoor Ahmad, the webmaster. The team worked the whole year on the project and now the improved and modernised website has been uploaded.
The contents comprising more than four hundred pages, a number of graphic designs and pictorial representations and audio and video files cover subjects like Islam at a glance, The Qur’an, Hadeeth, life of the Prophet, History of Islam, Teachings of the Qur’ān and the Prophet, Women’s world, Human rights and discussions on issues.
The graphic presentation of Islam at a glance is very interesting and useful as it introduces Islam in an interesting manner. CDs include speeches in Hindi by renowned speakers of the language Maulana Muhammad Farooq Khan, Ejaz Ahmed Aslam, Engineer Z.A. Mansoorie and Iqbal Mulla. Further, the website includes a list of about one hundred books on different related topics showing cover picture, and information about the publishers.
