In order to keep pace with time and keeping in mind the challenges ahead, Dawat Trust launched Dawat Weekly, Dawat News Portal and Dawat Mobile App simultaneously at JIH Headquarters on October 26. The Weekly intends to maximise its reach and impact without compromising its goal and objectives. Dawat Weekly was released by former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umeri while Dawat News Portal by its former Editor–in-Chief Parwaz Rehmani and Dawat Mobile App by Dr. Zafarul Islam Khan, Chairman Delhi Minorities Commission in the jam-packed gathering full of journalist, well-wishers and its patrons.

After the release, Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omari, while elaborating his association with Dawat, said that in the entire history of Dawat in different phases no one can say it violated the ethics of journalism. It always acted as the true spokesman of the community and will continue to do so.

Dr. Zafarul Islam Khan, Chairman Delhi Minorities Commission, took pride in informing the gathering that his first article in Urdu was published in Dawat and the first article in English in Radiance Viewsweekly. He asked the new team and people associated with it to give importance to nation and international issue with objectivity and try to keep enriching the content of the weekly with good quality. While lauding the initiative of the Dawat team, he opined that there is also a space for daily newspaper and it should be kept in mind.

Syed Sadatullah Husaini, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, while presiding over the release ceremony, said that we are in the post-truth era, there is explosion of information and all efforts are made to crush the truth which makes the task of journalism more challenging. In such a situation the truth has to be said more loudly so that it can serve the purpose of challenging misinformation.

After Independence, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind had started Al-Insaaf a weekly paper which was later rechristened as Dawat in 1951. Dr. Faheemuddin Ahmed of MANUU and Parwaz Rehmani also addressed the gathering.
