To assess the reality behind the anxious situation of illegal picking up of Muslim youth and to make people aware of the modus operandi of the Special Cell and others, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind organised a programme at its headquarters on “Arrest of Muslim Youth and its Reality” where it invited renowned historian and freelance journalist Amaresh Misra. Misra has been following the blasts and other terror related activities in India and his immediate response to the present situation was that all this is linked with the state of Israel and its intelligence wing, Mossad. It was Amaresh Misra, who at the very night Hemant Karkare got killed wrote a blog saying “Killers of Gandhi killed Karkare.” During his one hour talk, he unveiled many of the confidential and lesser known facts to substantiate his claim and took a dig at the genesis of Hindutva and its resurgence post-1992 (i.e. after India gave recognition to the state of Israel).
He raised many pertinent questions linked to the Hindutva terror which was brought into light by Karkare. Talking of the nexus between Israel and India, he questioned the changing statements by the intelligence agencies regarding Lt. Col. Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya. Taking a dig at the claims that Purohit was sent to infiltrate the Hindutva groups, he then questioned why he did not inform the army about the blasts that were to occur if at all he was sent to fetch some information.
Coming on to the illegal picking up of Muslim youth and their false implication in terror cases, he questioned the veracity of the recent picking up in Karnataka. “The moment these youth were picked up it was in the news that they wanted to assassinate some of the Hindu leaders on Ganesh Chaturthi. On questioning the Bangalore police said they had a tip–off from IB, however when IB was contacted they outright rejected the claims of Bangalore police. The other day the Police Commissioner of Bangalore said they had not arrested them but they were interrogating them and he further clarified that they had never said that these youth were planning to assassinate some leaders,” said Misra. “If nothing is there and there is no proof against them, then they should be released,” he added.
Further he explained about the turf war that has begun between the state police and IB and how IB is now distancing itself from the state police, which constantly use its name so as to cover their operations. Mentioning the case of Qateel Siddiqui, who was arrested in the case of fake currency and was later handed over to the ATS, he asserted how it made IB anxious as it did not want Delhi Police to hand him over to ATS because it itself wanted to use Qateel for its covert interests. He also highlighted that most of the so-called prize catches of police are most of the time their informers, whom they use as long as they serve their purpose and implicate them when it suits them.
Azeem Pasha, who the police say has sent 20000 SMSs which resulted in the exodus of the people of the north-east from Bangalore, was a mobile repairman who used to give information to police regarding cybercrimes, he added. “Interestingly in the case of the exodus of the north-easterners Home Secretary is saying that ISI is responsible. It clearly means that Pasha is an ISI agent, however no one is claiming him to be so,” he emphasised.
“Indian state control is going out of the hands of India,” he said while mentioning the growing turf war between the intelligence agencies and police and the always-changing statements of the government officials, that too of the ranks of Home Secretaries, etc. Pointing fingers at Rakesh Maria, Chief of Maharashtra ATS, who is known for his staunch anti-Muslim inclinations, Misra informed the audience of the incident when IB itself accused Maria of sending fake terror emails. IB then recommended suspension of Rakesh Maria and then, interestingly, IM came to surface in 2008 (substantiating the claim that terror emails by IM and other terrorist groups are nothing but a part played by the police and ATS by themselves). Maria is also alleged to have been involved in the death of Shahid Azmi. He also talked about the proofs of involvement of the Jews in the German Bakery blast, which took place close to the Chabad House.
On being asked about the reality of Indian Mujahideen (IM), he wittingly replied, “If you reverse Military Intelligence, it becomes IM.” Dealing with the solution to the situation, he said, “Terrorism came into light only when Israel got recognition from India in 1992. We must derecognise Israel as they are responsible for terror attacks in India. If we put an end to the relationship with Israel, terror activities will stop getting the fuel supply, which it normally gets directly or indirectly from it.” Mentioning the state of Indian economy, he said the major chunk of investment and wealth in India, nearly 60 per cent, are owned by the Jews.
The intriguing speech was followed by question and answer session, which allowed the general audience to clear their doubts and apprehensions regarding the situation.
