Dr. Ansari Re-elected Clinton Islamic Centre President

The Clinton Islamic Centre holds its election every two years.  During this year’s election Dr. Anis Ansari was unanimously elected president of Clinton Islamic Centre. This is the fourth time for him as president in the last 12 years.

The Clinton Islamic Centre holds its election every two years.  During this year’s election Dr. Anis Ansari was unanimously elected president of Clinton Islamic Centre. This is the fourth time for him as president in the last 12 years.

Dr. Ansari is one of the founding members of the Islamic Society of Clinton County, which was formed immediately after his arrival in 1999. As his first priority, he established Friday praying in Clinton. He not only organised the activities but helped in conducting them for the last 15 years.

He leads an organisation whose members include 16 Muslim doctors of various specialties like Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Obstetric/Gynaecology and Hospitalist. Each one of them is hard working and passionate about providing quality care to their patient.

As President, Dr. Ansari has built up good relationship with different organisations. In town like Sisters of St. Francis, Martin Luther King Committee and Victory Centre and contributed to their cause. They have participated in walk for stopping Hate and CROP walk to raise money for the hungry. They have regularly invited public, civic leader and church groups to Clinton Islamic Centre to share meals and ideas.
