The 20-day long training camp for teachers, organised by the Education Department of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, came to an end on June 28. The camp, which began on June 10, took place in the Crescent School, Bhopal and the opening address of Ameer Halqa, Mr. Abdul Lateef, set the tone for the programme. The last session of the training programme was held in the office of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Madhya Pradesh zone.
The training programme was attended by many teachers (male and female), coming from various parts of MP. Ameer Halqa introduced the listeners with various achievements of Muslims and directed the attention towards the efforts that need to be put in the field of education.
Mr. Mohammad Ashfaq Ahmed, Secretary, Education Department, JIH, presided over the last session of the programme.
Mr. Rafeeq Ahmed threw light on the aims and objectives of the training programme and said the experts at the camp guided the teachers who underwent the training programme. Teachers were trained, keeping the Islamic viewpoint; more than 100 lectures were delivered on the modern education, philosophy, psychology, administration of schools, etc.
Later the delegates expressed their views and termed the training camp as extremely beneficial. Teachers said the camp helped them in getting updated with the modern methods and techniques of education.
Later the resource person asked for suggestions from the participants in order to improve the training.
In the presidential address, Mohammad Ashfaq Ahmed emphasised the need for efficient and effective primary education system and said the best part of the programme is amalgamation of the Islamic viewpoint in the field of education. He further elaborated the efforts of JIH in the field of education and said that the book, Fun-e-Taleem-o-Tarbiyat, by Mr. Afzal Husain, is even today an extremely beneficial book for teachers and guides. He introduced the listeners with 38 CDs on model lesson and 50 DVDs on different topics of education. This programme touched on all the aspects related to education and comprehensively dealt with them, he added.
The vote of thanks was given by local Ameer, Mr. Fida Husain. Those who did well in the training programme and got top three positions were given prizes.
