Humane Touch Donates House to Poor Family

Humane Touch, a voluntary organisation donated a newly built 4-room house to a poor family whose members were destined to live in a shabby one room hut in Model Village, Wimberly Gunj. This was the first house built by Humane Touch under its housing project for low-income group families in the area.

Humane Touch, a voluntary organisation donated a newly built 4-room house to a poor family whose members were destined to live in a shabby one room hut in Model Village, Wimberly Gunj. This was the first house built by Humane Touch under its housing project for low-income group families in the area.

The house was donated to the beneficiary, a poor truck driver with a family of six members at a simple ceremony held at Model Village on October 18. Shri P Hussain, Up-Pradhan, Wimberly Gunj Panchayat handed over the key to the beneficiary.

On the occasion, Shri K P Yunus, President Humane Touch, briefed the gathering about its social commitments and various projects it has undertaken. He said the poor beneficiary family was identified through the Socio-Economic Survey it had conducted in Wimberly Gunj Panchayat last year. P K Mohammed Ali, President, Islamic Welfare Society, spoke on the importance of helping others and philanthropy. He lauded the efforts of Humane Touch and appealed to the gathering to support such social causes.

The house costing Rs 1,35000/- was built with the support of donors, who donated cash as well as materials. The members of Humane Touch too volunteered in the construction work.
