Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) has started Ramadhan Project 2016 by distributing Ramadhan Food packets and organising mass Iftar programmes for the needy on 10 June. It distributed 350 Iftar food packets followed by a Mass Iftar Programme at Rohingya Refugee Camp, Sharam Vihar in the Capital and hosted more than eight hundred people.
General Secretary Human Welfare Foundation, Mr. T Arif Ali and representatives of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, Turkey graced the programme and handed over Iftar kits to the beneficiaries. HWF office bearers and volunteers made the project smoothly organised.
“We are organising one of the biggest Ramadhan projects in India. Over 120 implementing partners and thousands of volunteers are helping in survey and distribution of food parcels to the most needy families.
This Ramadhan the HWF has distributed Iftar kits and food parcels among more than 25,000 families in 16 states like Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Haryana and Delhi till 11 June 2016,” said a statement of HWF.
Each kit, given under the HWF’s Vision 2016 programme, consists of ingredients enough for an average family for the whole month of Ramadhan.
