HWF Distributes Scholarships at Guwahati

Human Welfare Foundation, under its lifeline project of educational scholarships to brighten the future of downtrodden society, has decided to offer 500 scholarships to UG-PG deserving students enrolled in the various courses of humanity and social sciences. The initiative covers 12 North States right from Assam to Gujarat.

Human Welfare Foundation, under its lifeline project of educational scholarships to brighten the future of downtrodden society, has decided to offer 500 scholarships to UG-PG deserving students enrolled in the various courses of humanity and social sciences. The initiative covers 12 North States right from Assam to Gujarat.

Besides, 114 students from four states of North-East like Assam North & South, Tripura, Manipur and Nagaland have been awarded scholarships for the academic year 2014-15.

On 21 March, 68 students were felicitated at a distribution programme held at Guwahati, Assam North. The Seminar Hall of National Education Foundation’s Law College located in the heart of Guwahati city was the venue of this programme. Forty-six undergraduate and 22 postgraduate students of various courses of humanities were felicitated by Mr. Abdul Hamid, State President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Assam. Mrs. Gitali Das, Associate Professor S.B. Deorah College; and Mr. Safiul Islam, Sub Editor, Dainik Gana Adhikar provided guidance for the awardees.

Zahoor Ahmed, Asst. Manager, Education Dept., HWF, honoured the guests by presenting memento. HWF Coordinator Assam, Mr. Shahidul Islam extended vote of thanks to the guests and administration of NEF Law College for granting permission to organise this programme in their well-furnished auditorium.
