Dr Zafarul Islam Khan, Editor of Milli Gazette, who is also regarded as an expert of the Middle East issues, said that European countries from the very beginning were opposed to Islam and tried every means in their capacity to hamper its flourish which is still relevant today. The behaviour of the West towards Muslim Brotherhood and conspiracies to topple it down is the culmination of the mindset that was opposed to political Islam and the ideology of Islam. Dr. Khan was speaking at the Weekly Meet organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind at its headquarters on 16 April.
He categorically said that ISIS has been created by America to harm the image and prospect of political Islam. With the perception that has been created after the emergence of ISIS, even Muslim Brotherhood that came to power in Egypt so strongly will now not be able to do so because of the negative perception created out of ISIS, which is totally against Islam. Muslims across the world have condemned it because they are only tarnishing the image of Islam. Their barbaric and inhuman act is totally against Islam.
Dr. Khan said, Muslim Brotherhood is now the biggest organisation which is present in almost 80 countries in one form or the other and the creation of ISIS is an attempt to halt their growth and pace. This organisation is banned in most of the Muslim countries but surprisingly the Americans have not banned them in their own countries.
America and its allies destroyed Taliban, Al Qaida but deliberately they have chosen to ignore ISIS and providing all kind of support, even financially and logistically, for them. The tug of war between Russia and America reveals the motive of the western world in the Muslim region. They want to destabilise the Muslim world by creating a sectarian rift or by creating civil wars in their region.
The learned speaker, while replying to a question, said the Muslim Ummah even in the midst of uncertainty and upheavals rises up and is capable of finding solution and there is hope that Muslims will come out of the present trap of the Western world. There is also a possibility that someone within the trouble-shooter will rise against them and things would then get changed. He gave an example of Israel as to how they are hell bent on wiping out Palestinians but Palestinians despite being weak in all form are there and rising by the day. We have to remain optimistic because if there is will there is the way. Muslims should remain cautious of the trap and conspiracies and stop their inner fighting and keep their vested interests on the backburner for the larger interest of the Ummah.
