The National Dussehra Fair in Kota city of Rajasthan started with traditional zeal after burning the statue of Ravana on October 23. In the fair, an Islamic exhibition, covering an area of 60 x 45 feet, has been organised. This exhibition is in different language-based sections such as English, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic. It displayed thousands of Islamic books and Multimedia products covering different topics related to Islam in different languages; particularly the Holy Qur’ān is available at least in 10 languages. The books and multimedia products are also available for both Muslims and non-Muslims visitors to purchase on special discount. The Islamic exhibition is getting overwhelming response from the visitors.

There are banners displaying the translations of Qur’ānic verses, Ahadith, and the views of different scholars (Mahatma Ghandi etc.) about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be to him).

There is a special desk for the person who wants to know anything about Islam. A Dawah kit consisting of translated versions of the Holy Qur’ān, a few books on Islamic literature and folders introducing Islam is being freely distributed among the Non-Muslim visitors.

On November 2 Er. Khurseed Hussain, Zonal President, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Rajasthan visited the Dawah desk and addressed the volunteers on the importance of Dawah work and gave suggestions for improving the exhibition. This exhibition will continue till Nov 11, 2012 and the visitors can visit there between 6pm to 12.30 am and benefit from the opportunity.
