Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omari, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the stampede during Haj pilgrimage at Mina in Makkah on 24 September. More than 700 Hajis are reported to have been killed in the incident and more than 800 wounded.
While praying for higher rewards from Allah in the Hereafter for those killed in the crush, the Jamaat leader has expressed deep sympathy with their families. He also prayed to Allah for speedy recovery of the injured.
