Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has strongly condemned desecration of the Qur’ān, attack on a Madrasa and killing of seven people by Border Security Forces in Ramban area of Kashmir, and demanded from the government to take stringent action against the guilty soldiers.
In a statement on 20 July, Mr. Nusrat Ali, General Secretary of the organisation, said the regular killing of Muslims in Kashmir by police and security forces and no stern action against guilty officials strengthens doubt that these killings are part of government policy, which is extremely condemnable and will destroy the peace in Kashmir. Democracy and Justice demand end to the bloody trend.
The Jamaat leader also demanded that the families of deceased should be given Rs 50 lakh each. He expressed deep sympathy with the victim families.
