The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Jharkhand-HRD organised a 3-day IT & media workshop on 20, 21 and 22 October 2017. This workshop was divided into two distinct parts: one part was on IT (Basics) & Social Media while the other devoted to Column, Blog Writing and Content Development.

The workshop was minutely planned. A Workshop Management Committee with Mr. Abul Arif, Ameer-e-Maqami, Jamshedpur as its coordinator was formed. Mr. Zafar Imam, Ameer-e-Halqa, JIH-Jharkhand took keen interest in the programme and was physically present throughout the workshop.

For the former part, the organisers engaged three resource persons to train JIH-Jharkhand state leadership, including the ladies wing and leaders of associated organisations such as APCR, Al-Manar Educational Foundation, Al-Manar Social Service, HWF, AIITA etc. on IT (basics) & Social Media. There were 30 participants from across the state who attended this part of the workshop. The resource persons were Syed Nasir Hasan (Sikar Rajasthan), Farhan Sumbul (Hyderabad) and Zia-ul-Islam (Ranchi). The JIH Jharkhand HRD Secretary Mohammad Kamran also volunteered his services as a trainer.

Three resource persons were engaged to train selected participants on Column & Blog Writing and Content Development. In addition to the recommendations of Umrae Muqami from across the state; the Zonal HR Survey form was the basis of selection. Forty-eight participants attended this part of the workshop. Dr. Nasar Farooqui (a columnist from Jamshedpur) presented a paper on Urdu Journalism, Mr. Shariq Ansar (India Tomorrow_Hindi) and Mr. Sikandar Azam (Radiance Viewsweekly) presented PPTs respectively on Hindi and English Column & Blog Writing and Content Development.

Thus a number of individuals of coming from different places of Jharkhand benefited with the theory and hands-on training. They also actively participated in different 5-star chocolate catch-up fun-activities like social media quiz, letter/blog writing and preparing press release.

In addition to the events mentioned above, a case study on ‘JIH-Rajasthan, Media Centre Operations’ was presented by Mr Syed Nasir Hasan, Assistant Zonal Secretary HRD-Rajasthan.
