Jamaat-e-Islami Hind opened the three-day session of its Markazi Majlis-e-Shoora (Central Advisory Council) at Islamic Foundation Trust building, which houses JIH Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Zonal Office, in Chennai on Dec. 30. The Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari is presiding over the Advisory Council Session.
The Advisory Council is discussing a number of issues of vital importance for the nation as well as the Muslims. The discussions include the forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. Various bills being discussed in Parliament will also come up during the discussions in the Advisory Council session of JIH.
Naib Amirs of JIH, Prof. K.A. Siddiq Hasan and Muhammad Jafar, Secretary General Nusrat Ali, and Members including former Amir Dr. Abdul Haq Ansari, T.K. Abdullah, Dr. S.Q.R. Ilyas, Mujtaba Farooq, Dr. M. Rafat, Er. Mohammed Salim, Ejaz Ahmed Aslam, SM Mallik, H. Abdur Raqeeb, T. Arif Ali, S. Aminul Hasan, Syed Saadatullah Husaini, Maulana Waliullah Sayeedi Falahi, Maulana Yusuf Islahi and Dr. Hasan Raza are attending the Advisory Council Session.
