The Kishanganj Centre of the Aligarh Muslim University has started functioning now. So far, the admission process for the course of Bachelor of Education (BEd) has completed and the classes for the same are running. Our sources in Patna said that the centre will invite applications for admission in different other courses soon. The classes are temporarily running in a rental house in Kishanganj as the building for the centre is still not ready.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University nominated Dr. Rasheed Kamal, Associate Professor at the Department of English in the university, as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for the Kishanganj Centre of the university on 18 November. In a press briefing at Kishanganj in the last week of November, the OSD hoped that the centre would start functioning on 26 November. As per his statement, the centre will be developed independently and would have a placement cell of its own.
