Let’s Save the Constitution: WPI

Welfare Party of India (WPI), Rajasthan, Kota unit celebrated the 68th Republic Day by holding a save constitution programme on 26 January. On the occasion the party also organised a talk show on ‘the present situation of the country and the Constitution’.

Welfare Party of India (WPI), Rajasthan, Kota unit celebrated the 68th Republic Day by holding a save constitution programme on 26 January. On the occasion the party also organised a talk show on ‘the present situation of the country and the Constitution’.

Addressing the programme, State president of All India Scheduled Castes Federation, Rajasthan Vinay Singhal, who was chief guest at the programme, said that no matter how good our Constitution is, nothing good can happen unless and until those at the helm of affairs are also good. Wrong people are ruling over the country, that’s why the Constitution is being violated.

State secretary of WPI, Rajasthan, Saifullah Khan said that main political parties of the country did not uphold the Constitution while ruling over the country. Weaker sections, Dalit and minorities of the country have been deprived of their Constitutional rights. Welfare Party of India is making concerted efforts to save the Constitution of India.

President of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Samiti, Kota, Chaturvediji Kheenchi said that all has equally contributed in the freedom struggle of the country. So, everyone has the right to live with dignity and pride. He appealed to people to protect and safeguard the Constitution framed by Bhim Rao Ambedkar. He also declared his support to WPI.

President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Kota Zahoor Ahmad said that today the meaningless issue of nationalist and anti-national is being discussed in the country. The politics of doubting nationalism of some and distributing the certificate of nationalism to others should be stopped.

Dalit thinker Rameshvar Verma said that Welfare Party gives space not only in letter but in spirit as well.

Imam of Sajidehda mosque, Maulana Mehdi Asghar said the people in the ruling government are trying to impose their ideology on others which cannot be tolerated.

President of Makhdum Alaul Haq Foundation Maulana Alauddin Ashrafi said that the Constitution gives equal rights to everyone. If the government does not provide it, we know how to get our right.

District president of Welfare Party Asif Hussain said the dream of freedom fighters about the country has not been fulfilled till date. But Welfare Party will fulfil that dream of freedom fighters and Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

Towards the end, singing National Song and flag hosting ceremony was held by Vinay Singhal and other guests. They wished people on the occasion. A large number of people were present in the programme. The programme was conducted by Mohammad Khalid, state president of youth wing of Welfare Party of India, Rajasthan.
