If Indian secular and anti-communal forces are not able to oppose the Hindutva forces, the future of Indian Muslims will become worse.” Mr. Ejaz Ahmed Aslam, Member of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s Central Advisory Council, expressed this opinion during the weekly meet at JIH headquarters on 15 August.

He also expressed his observation of the future of India and her Muslim community. According to his opinion, the Brahminist forces might get momentum through cultural nationalism and work more closely with Israel and the Zionist lobby. He also said that Muslim majority constituencies will be neglected willingly and will be reserved for STs, SCs and not for Muslims. Hypocrites from the Muslim society will be given top government posts but they will not work for the cause of Muslims.

Towards the end of his speech, he suggested some remedies for countering the Brahminist threat to India and her Muslim society. First of all, he urged the Muslims to practise Islamic teachings and work with secular and democratic political and social organisations to oppose the communal forces. He also advised the Muslims to look after their education and keep from minor Fiqhi differences and emotional activities. Muslims must give up all kinds of reactionary activities to oppose communal forces and always try to make good personal relations with other communities, especially with the Hindu brethren.

He also called on the audience to pay attention to women’s education and advised them to keep their localities clean because cleanness is half of the faith. He encouraged the Muslims to invest and save money and time and also advised them not to waste their money on marriage and other ceremonies and on social and religious occasions. Concluding his speech, he also reminded the Muslim community to convey the message of Islam to the countrymen.
