The 6th Annual Day Programme of The Scholar School was celebrated with great pomp and show in the school premises on 20 December. The Annual Day programmes were conceptualised meaningfully and presented with great enthusiasm.

In her welcome address, Ms Naseema Khan, Principal of the School, highlighted the achievements of the school and great efforts of the staff along with challenges to overcome in the ensuing years.

Mr. Jawed Iqbal, Honorary Secretary, presented the annual report of the School and outlined the qualitative progress made. Apart from entertainment, programmes were also beautifully presented to project social issues like exploitation of the poor and the marginalised. The joyride train by pre-primary section thrilled the audience with the message of unity in diversity and our composite culture. Programmes also highlighted the socio-political issues, Islamic values through street plays, skits, dramas, mimes, etc. All the students performed to the best of their ability.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Kamal Farooqui, former Chairman Delhi Minorities Commission, while eulogising the efforts of all in shaping up the school as one of the best in the locality, urged the staff members as well as parents to make it an ideal school in Delhi in the years to come. Farooqui extended his expertise and support in this regard, which was well received by the audience. He laid emphasis on the wholesome growth of students along with quality education which is the need of the hour. Guests of Honour included Mr. Nusrat Ali, Vice President JIH; Mr. Mohd Jafar, Vice Chairman of Human Welfare Foundation; Mr. A.A.A. Faizi, Controller Examinations JMI and Dr. Parveen Khan, Director of Jamia Nursery.

The Guests of Honour appreciated the talent of the students and efforts of the teachers especially Ms. Hira Irfan, Pre-primary In-charge, and Ms. Sumbul Khalid-CCA In-charge. Members of the school management committee such as Mr. Salimullah Khan of Human Welfare Foundation, Z.A. Mansoorie, and Javed Ali and a large number of parents were present in this programme. The programme, managed by Administrator Qazi Muhammad Miyan, was concluded with vote of thanks extended by Ms. Mahpara Jan, Vice-Principal of the school.
