At a weekly meet organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in the national capital on 9 May, Shafi Madani expressed his happiness and satisfaction by saying that the Nepali administration has praised the efforts of a 5-member aid team of Ideal Relief Wing, which is disaster management wing of JIH Kerala, and has asked to remain in Nepal for a longer period.

It is a great recognition for the IRW particularly when people in Nepal are angry from India for a variety of reasons. Another relief team member, Mr. Mohd Nayyar, Secretary for Social Service JIH Delhi and Haryana said that they were able to reach remotest places where so far no Muslim had ever reached in the history of Nepal.

Madani also said that such huge relief by Muslim relief teams from various countries has helped to send a very good message across the world. He also said that around Rs. one crore is needed to rehabilitate Benighat village adopted by them for rehabilitation purpose and efforts are on to raise funds.
