The New Block of The Scholar School named “Gazal Block” was inaugurated by Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omeri, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, and Prof Sharfuddin Ahmed OSD to Vice Chancellor of JMI on 27 April in the presence of many dignitaries from various fields.
In the beginning, a motivational skit presented by the students, depicting the real struggle and achievements of late A.P.J Abdul Kalam, thrilled the audience and was equally inspirational for students, teachers and parents as well. General Secretary Human Welfare Foundation, Mr. T Arif Ali, in his welcome address, highlighted the growth and progress of the school and was pleased by the way the school was functioning and expanding in the desired pace.
Ms. Mahpara Jan, Vice Principal of The Scholar School, in her brief introduction of the school said along with quality education the aims and objective is to groom students so that they can prove an asset to our community, society and above all to our country.
Prof. Sharfuddin Ahmad, OSD to V.C. JMI, who was the chief guest, while addressing the gathering, said on behalf of JMI VC that “the best investment by parents is in the education and health of their children”. Sharfuddin also lauded the role of the management and extended all support to the school in the near future.
Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omeri, Ameer JIH, in his presidential address, said that The Scholar School in the years to come should become a model institution and along with quality education the students must be guided and given a definite direction that could help them to live their life according to the guidance and principles of Islam.
The Guest of Honour, Prof. K.A. Siddiq Hasan, who is the chief architect of the VISION 2016, highlighted the achievement and earmarked the challenges. He expressed his satisfaction over the functioning of the School and reminded the teachers of character building of the pupils. He asked community leaders and well-wishers to help and support in order to realise and fulfil the target envisaged in VISION 2016 documents.
Parents were highly appreciative of the team efforts of teachers and school management and were pleased to note that very soon the school will be expanded up to 12th standard.
Many eminent personalities like Mr. P.B. Saleem and P.S. Habibullah, Directors of “Gazal Foods”; Mr. Navaid Hamid, President AIMMM; Dr. AAA Faizy, Controller of Examination JMI; Engineer Mohammad Salim, General Secretary, JIH; Mohammad Jafar, Vice-Chairman, HWF and many other prominent social leaders also graced the programme. Mr. Salimullah Khan of School Management Committee and Secretaries of School Mr. Javed Ali, Mr. Jawed Iqbal, and Manager Mammuni Moulvi were also present. The programme was managed by Administrator, Qazi Muhammad Miyan and vote of thanks was delivered by Principal, Ms. Naseema Khan.
